As an alternative to "house vacuum", the Local-Area Vacuum Network, VACUULAN, provides vacuum to multiple workstations by means of a single vacuum pump. A multitude of components offers the possibility of an individual configuration for virtually all common vacuum applications. VACUULAN is available for installation into new laboratories, or for retrofitting into existing laboratories. The components have integral non-return valves with high effectiveness against interference or cross contamination, even when the vacuum levels are close and the difference is low. Networking is accomplished by simply connecting the main vacuum pump to one of any available vacuum valves. Valves can be networked for up to 8 positions per pump and selected to meet the requirements of a specific application.
