Titratable Acidity in Wine

Analysis outlining the method for quantitative determination of total acidity in wine. The total acidity is calculated as g/L t art aric acid. The procedure is performed using the Schott Instruments TitroLine 6000 Routine Titrator or TitroLine 7000 Advanced Titrator. Note: Carbon dioxide absorption from the air occurs in the sodium hydroxide solution of sodium bicarbonate, which changes the pH of the titrant. To prevent this, a drying tube filled with soda lime is placed on the reagent bottle.
