For universal micro-milling of medium-hard to soft-brittle samples (dry or in suspension) down to analytical fineness. For the processing and homogenization of pastes and creams on a laboratory scale.

Typical fields of application
Mining and Metallurgy, Chemistry, Geology and Mineralogy, Glass, Ceramics, Agriculture, Foodstuffs, Metallurgy, Pharmacy, Rocks and Soils, Electrical Industry.

Method of operation
The principle involved is similar to a hand mortar, in that the material to be ground is reduced in size between the pestle and the mortar bowl through pressure and friction. The mortar is rotated by a geared motor whilst the pestle is mounted in a freely rotatable manner.

Features of performance
  • fast, uniform comminution
  • Facility to add materials during any ongoing processes
  • Removal and fitting of mortar bowl and pestle without tools (rapid bayonet clamping)
  • Reproducible pestle setting without tools readout during grinding
  • Pre crushing setting for coarse-grained samples
  • easy cleaning due to removable mortar bowl and pestle
  • choice of 7 different materials for mortar and pestle for contamination free grinding
  • Certified safety (CE mark)
  • 2 year guarantee
Equipment
The Mortar Grinder pulverisette 2 is delivered without grinding sets. Grinding mortar and pestle (= grinding set) are available in 7 different materials and must be ordered as accessories.
